Children thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. We have built a community with warmth and inclusion at its heart - a village in the centre of the city. Our talented staff have developed a curriculum to inspire our children to go on to get great results.

Why not book a visit? We'd love to show you what makes us an outstanding school.

SIAMS 2023: EXCELLENT

A long history of serving the community in Poplar

The story or St Saviour’s is a mirror for the themes that have shaped life in Poplar since Victorian times. The original building in Northumbria Street was built in 1865. Rising high above the slums, it was intended as a beacon of learning and advancement in a disadvantaged and poor area. Damaged by air raids in the Blitz, the old school was finally demolished and a new building erected in Chrisp Street in the 1950’s.

With faith and hard work anything is possible

I have so many fond memories: the pitch where my love of football started, and the classrooms where I learned about so many different things, from Shakespeare to fun scientific experiments. I've learned that with faith and hard work anything is possible. All the support and help from St Saviour's was invaluable and helped shape me along my personal and academic journey so far.
